The QA staff of the Warzone

After weeks-long strikes at the Call of Duty War zone developer Raven Software, a group of workers in the QA Department of the Studio is now planning the founding of the first workers' union with a great game developer.

The group called Game Workers Alliance is unionized with the communication workers of America (CWA) and calls on ACTIVISION Blizzard to voluntarily recognize the union, which, according to Volume, has the support of the predominant majority of the QA employees of Raven software. This corresponds to 78% of the authorized employees in the team. According to Washington Post, the union has 34 testers and mentioned layoffs, overtime, low wages, the expectation of a move and the toxic culture at Activision Blizzard as motivation for trade union organization.

The group has also listed its principles on its Twitter account. We are GPA, including the voices of workers who are heard of the company's leadership, and realistic schedules and plans to achieve sustainability in the game industry.

Other important cornerstones of their principles are adequate remuneration for their work, career development opportunities and transparency of their leadership. The complete list of principles can be found on the page of the Twitter page group.

Activision

Activision Blizzard has told Bloomberg that it examines carefully the request for voluntary recognition by the CWA, which tries to organize around three dozen of the nearly 10,000 employees.

Our principles:

-Solidarity: The votes of workers should be heard from the leadership. By uniting solidarity, we can make sure that our message is continuing and more effective. (1/8)

In a press release says Raven Qa-Testerin Becky Signer: Today I am proud to taste myself with a great majority of my colleagues together to build our union. In the video game industry, especially at Raven QA, people are passionate about their work and content they create. We want to ensure that the passion of these employees reflects themselves exactly in our workplace and the content created by us.

Signer continues: A collective agreement will give the employees of Raven QA a voice at work to improve the games produced by them and strengthen the company. Voluntary recognition is the reasonable way.

This message comes, since Activision Blizzard should be taken over by Microsoft at some point before June 2023. Bobby Kick, the CEO of Activision, will keep his position until the transaction concludes reportedly, he will leave the company soon afterwards.
