New Report suggests that Perfect Dark has already restarted its development

This week was reported by Video Games Chronicle that The Initiative, developers of the new Perfect Dark , were having serious problems after multiple members of the team decided to leave their respective jobs. And now, Windows Central has given more details about such problems and indeed, it seems that the development of this project has been completely restarted.

According to Jez Corden, Editor of Windows Central , the reason why The Initiative lost so many employees was a consequence of "great disagreement" about the development of perfect dark :

"I can not say who, but several sources told me that there was a great disagreement about the development of Perfect Dark. The Initiative was built in such a way that they were looking for a new way of building an anti-crunch development team, which is great, and involves a more democratic development structure.

The problem with that is that two methodologies were detached on how to develop Perfect Dark. One of them was to hire more people, and the other consisted of staying a small team and building a high-level indie game, but due to the Hype that surrounded the study, Microsoft did not want to allow The Initiative to stay small... the conflict between These two methodologies caused the exit of all these employees. "

Additionally, VGC talked with several ex employees this week is left over the situation within The Initiative, and according to them, the departure of all these developers caused the development of perfect dark to be rebooted and There would still be many more years for its launch.

The good news is that, according to CORDEN , the current team already has a much clearer vision on the goals of the project and although it is still a little chaotic, at least they seem to have resumed the course.

Editor's note: We hope that The Initiative and Crystal Dynamics can find a way to exceed all this negative situation, and at the end, Perfect Dark turns out to be a great game. Sadly, everything indicates that there will still be a few more years to know how the final product was left.
