Olympique Lyon: Marcelo denied report on discharge due to fuels

The Brazilian defender Marcelo, active in the Bundesliga for Hannover 96 from 2013 to 2016, denied reports that he was released by Olympique Lyon because he farted in the changing room and laughed at it.

"Thanks to the l'Equipe, I have to come back on Twitter after a long time to deny all allegations. Today's journalism is a joke!", The 34-year-old wrote. Previously, he hadn't been active on Twitter since October 2021.

Soccer Star Marcelo Reportedly Demoted From Club Due To 'Continuous Farting'.. Marcelo Fired The French sports daily newspaper had previously claimed that Marcelo's unwilling farting at the executive floor around sports director Juninho was not well received and he was therefore released from the squad.

What exactly happened to the report? After a weak performance in the second game of this season at 0: 3 against Angers, Marcelo was transferred to the second team of the Lyonnais. Even more than about the performance of the defense player are said to have been annoyed by the "inappropriate behavior" after the game. Juninho then supposedly advised coach Peter Bosz and agreed to let the defender go, whereupon Marcelo moved to Girondon's Bordeaux in January this year.

Juninho himself also played down the claims of the l'Equipe on Twitter. "You see, I told you that a defender has to fart loudly, long and smelly! Your goods just loud, so they were weak," he wrote.
